The Most Effective Way For Newbies to Get New Customers on the Internet

Saturday, December 29, 2007

Let’s face it, finding new customers is one of the essential ingredients in learning how to start home businesses. And there are only FOUR ways to get a fresh supply of customers to come to your web site looking for your product:

Method #1 - Send them an email. But how many email addresses do you have of people who want your particular product? And how long will it take to go through those...a week, a month?
Method #2 - Have someone who knows your product send their friend an email about your product. Again, although this can be effective, it takes lots of time to build a network of referrals. Do you have months or maybe years to wait for significant sales?
Method #3 - Pay for advertising on the Search Engines like Google, MSN or Yahoo. When someone searches on a term, like "dogs", you will see advertisements on far right hand side called "sponsored ads". People are actually paying to put their advertisement there. And while this is effective, you had better know what you are doing and watch your pennies!
Method #4 - Figure out how to get your web page to show up on the first page of a search engine like Google when people type in a particular search term. Then they will visit your page and buy your product.
Think about method #4 again. Hundreds or thousands of new customers every month coming to your web site! That is what the search engines can give you. And this is one of the most important concepts in learning how to start home businesses.
Now, not everyone who visits your site will buy, but that’s okay because you will have brand new visitors the next day and the next day and so on and so on. So, researching what search terms, which is another name for keywords, that people are using to find your particular product is essential to stepping into that oncoming traffic.
Perhaps an example would help.
When I built my first web page, I had no clue about keywords, search terms or even search engines for that matter. I basically had a "lemonade stand" on a lonely deserted street and I wondered why no one was visiting my lemonade stand and buying my lemonade!
And it didn't matter that I had the cheapest lemonade, or the best tasting lemonade or even the prettiest lemonade stand. Without a steady stream of visitors, I was not going to sell any lemonade!
Then someone told me about keywords and search engines. So I optimized my web page for the keyword in my niche that had the most searches in a given period. But I still didn't sell anything because, even though I was on the busiest corner in town (the keyword with the most traffic), I did not take into account the competition for that keyword.
Basically, I was trying to position my lemonade stand on a corner that already had 2.2 million lemonade stands there. And since I was the new kid on the block, there was no way I was going to muscle out 2.2 million established lemonade stands to get on the first page of Google!
So, what to do?
Finally, I got smart and chose a less busy corner that still had daily traffic, but also had less competing lemonade stands. And then I found other corners like that one and placed another lemonade stand there. I may not be on the busiest corner, but I am on several busy corners that I can dominate!
What is the moral of this story?
Choose keywords for your web page that are related to your topic and have high demand and low competition. Optimize your web pages for those particular keywords, get some backward links through articles and then, watch the visitors stream in...every day! And more visitors will translate into more sales!

Top Tips For Internet Marketing
Benefits of Marketing Online
Marketing rules are the same no matter how big or small your business is: (1) brand your product, (2) determine who your target audience is, (3) get the sales, and (4) establish repeat customers. Online marketing is very effective in managing all four of these rules.
Online Marketing Defined
The definition of online marketing is: Placing your business or product on the Internet for millions of users to access so that you can turn your website into a strong tool to maximize your sales and business potential.
But online marketing is much more than putting your advertising online. Marketing online includes such areas as communicating with your customers, promoting your business or product online, and making sure that your website content is useful and up to date. The great thing about online marketing is that you don’t need to have a huge budget to put together a marketing campaign that is effective. There are tools that you can use to make your marketing techniques easy and profitable such website templates, shopping cart templates, and online marketing templates.
What You Need for Online Marketing to be Successful
There are some important points to consider before you get into the strategies and intricacies of online marketing:
• Communication. An important part of online marketing is how you respond to your customer’s e-mail. You don’t want to lose potential customers after you’ve made the effort to have them visit your website and then contact you for more information. E-mail is a very effective and cost efficient way for you to generate more sales. The key to this effectiveness is “consistency”. You need to be consistent in your response to your customers. You’ll also want to make sure that the tone of your e-mail corresponds with the tone you’ve set in your website content.
• Human Resources. If you’re going to succeed online you need to have enough people working with you. Efficient websites incorporate a personal touch with a fast response time to customers. Your goal is to turn the visitors to your website into customers. The standard time for a return e-mail is from 48 to 72 hours. If you wait any longer to e-mail back you risk losing the customer. This means that if you don’t have the man power to return e-mail in two to three days you need to take another look at your marketing strategy.
• Products people want to buy online. Before you start marketing online you need to be sure that you have a product or service that people want to buy. Customers need to find a value in what you’re selling. There are two motivating factors when it comes to selling online: cost and convenience. Ask yourself if customers will find it easier to buy online than finding a local store. Is it cheaper for them to buy this from you online?

All You Need To Know About Taski Vacuum Cleaners
Taski vacuum cleaners are relatively new to the market. Because of that, many people do not know about them or what they have to offer. With a brand name like Taski is, it is important to understand the roots of the brand as well as what they bring to the market. Here is information that will help you understand what the vacuums of Taski are all about.
History
Taski is a brand name of the JohnsonDiversey company. A former part of S.C. Johnson & Son, Inc, they split off to form their own company a few years back to address the cleaning needs of industry by addressing customers’ problems directly with innovation. One of those markets is vacuum cleaners, which they address with their Taski brand name.
What Are Taski Vacuum Cleaners
What makes a Taski vacuum cleaner different? The biggest thing you will notice is that they are cordless. This is done in order to make them safer, more versatile, and more efficient for workers. They are made perfectly for industrial environments.
The cordless design means that Taski vacuums work through the use of industrial batteries. They can run for about 40 minutes at a time without being recharged. This is plenty of tiem to do a lot of cleaning.
No Constraint Vacuums
Taski vacuum cleaners are cordless, so they can be used most anywhere. There are no cords to get tangled in anything. Additionally, workers are not limited to areas where they can gain access to an electrical outlet. The power comes from batteries within, so they can be taken wherever they need to go to get the job done.
Taski Efficiency
Taski vacuum cleaners can end up saving you as much as 40% of labor time compared to a regular industrial vacuum cleaner. The secret is that much of the time with normal vacuums is used doing unproductive, but necessary activities. With a cordless Taski vacuum cleaner your workers will not need to wind and unwind cable, plug and unplug between outlets, or drag cable around while trying to use the cleaner.
As you can see, there is a lot that a Taksi vacuum cleaner offers to industrial cleaner. The JohnsonDiversey company has found a way, with their Taski smart technology, to meet the needs of industry.
